We are thrilled to have Kim Kardashian as our first exclusive cover release, photographed just ahead of her much-anticipated series All’s Fair. Kardashian stars as a powerhouse divorce attorney alongside a stellar cast including Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash, Sarah Paulson, Teyana Taylor, and Glenn Close.
This issue includes a Special tribute to Demna, looking at his 10 years at Balenciaga as Creative Director. During these years he simultaneously reinvented the house and redefined luxury fashion. The brand operated as a kind of 21st-century cultural beacon, through which a combination of oversized tailoring, archness, logo-mania, dystopia, streetwear, politics, Kim Kardashian, The Simpsons, post-Soviet industrial cyber goth, ‘ugly’ dad sneakers, the ‘defining’ muse in American artist Eliza Douglas, and multiple pop-culture references happily co-exist with an avant-garde reworking of traditional couture and Cristóbal Balenciaga’s own esteemed heritage.
At the heart of our milestone issue — a 60-page story called NEIGHBORHOOD. By one of the leading photographers today, Gray Sorrenti: “This is our collective memory, our shared growth. A reminder that I am you, and you are me. That beauty lives not in sameness, but in the distance between us — and in the way we choose to hold it together. Difference becomes the space where we meet.” With a stellar cast of Sorrenti friends, from brother and sister Arsun and Lennon to top models Amelia Gray, Mona Tougaard, Binx, Imaan, Paloma Elsesser, and musician Mustafa the Poet.
Re-Edition regular star contributor, the one and only Juergen Teller, also showcases a 56-page portfolio titled “Symposium of Love” to co-inside with his major Exhibition in Athens— inspired by Aristophanes’ speech: “The starting point is for you to understand human nature and what has happened to it. You see, our nature wasn’t originally the same as it is now: it has changed. Firstly, there used to be three human genders, not just two, male and female, as there are nowadays. There was also a third, which was a combination of both the other two.”
With Cover star Rita Ora: “This shoot felt like stepping into another world — cinematic, lived-in, and full of character. It connects to All Natural for me… stripping things back and finding beauty in the honest, simple moments. There’s real power in being seen just as you are,” says Rita Ora.
Other cover actress Iris Law and musician Chy Cartier, representing the best and brightest of today's emerging UK talent. Not to mention artist-musician JT with an incredible portfolio shot by Hendrik Schneider.
Plus, we feature the breakthrough models of the season alongside some of the long-standing greats, aka Irina Shayk, Jacqui Hooper, Lota Blaskovic, showcasing some of the team’s favourite designers and unexpected combinations.
