Teranishi

Teranishi Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. is one of Japan's oldest stationery manufacturers, having been founded in Osaka in 1916 by Choichi Teranishi. The company began by producing writing inks and crayons at a time when Japan was rapidly modernising and demand for domestically made stationery was growing. Over more than a century of operation, Teranishi has developed into a respected manufacturer of writing instruments, markers, inks, and art materials, while remaining headquartered in Osaka. The company celebrated its 110th anniversary in 2026 and continues to manufacture many of its products in Japan.
