Zebra Co., Ltd.⁠� is one of Japan’s oldest and most respected writing-instrument manufacturers, tracing its origins to 1897 and formally adopting the Zebra trademark in 1914. Headquartered in Tokyo, the company develops and manufactures a wide range of pens, markers, highlighters and mechanical pencils, and sells its products in more than 100 markets worldwide. Zebra is particularly well known for innovative products such as the Sarasa gel pen, Mildliner highlighters, DelGuard mechanical pencils and Sharbo multi-pens, combining Japanese engineering with a strong focus on writing performance and reliability. The company remains family-led, employs more than 2,000 people globally, and operates subsidiaries across North America, Europe and Asia, including a UK division established in 1992.
