Concrete Aesthetic Volume 9 Les Étoiles d'Ivry focuses on one of the most distinctive modernist housing developments on the outskirts of Paris. Designed in the late 1960s by architects Jean Renaudie and Renée Gailhoustet, the estate is composed of sculptural concrete towers arranged like a constellation, reflecting a radical approach to social housing, density and urban life.
This 24-page A5 magazine features black and white photography by Stefano Samà. The images offer a calm and considered reading of the architecture, drawing attention to texture, rhythm and the complex geometry of the buildings. Monumental forms sit alongside more intimate details, revealing how the estate was conceived as a lived environment rather than a purely formal statement.
Printed on premium 150 gsm paper with a 300 gsm card cover, Volume 9 provides a tactile and visual experience for readers drawn to brutalism, architectural photography and modernist design.
A considered addition for architecture enthusiasts, collectors of independent publications or anyone interested in the expressive qualities of concrete in the urban landscape.
