BranD #82

BranD 82 is honored to follow Weisbecker’s lines and present the story of A Line’s Journey. It celebrates countless objects: they need no halo, for they are protagonists in their own right. Within these pages, the line becomes the director, determining rhythm and shaping each frame.

Philippe Weisbecker’s work always invites us to reexamine the everyday objects around us. Those that we have long taken for granted and have casually set aside—an empty box, a pair of scissors, a cup, a chair, a book—are endowed with entirely new forms under his hands. Even a single line can soothe the mind, rescuing us from the noise and restlessness of life and leading us to contemplate its essence. That, perhaps, is where the greatness and beauty of art lie.
